Ardverikie Race

It's Monday, one car in the lay by, just somebody letting a shitzu.

One hour walk-in, no one around until 30m before the crag when some dude and his son appear on my heels from nowhere (biked up the track).

Bezzed past me and even though Jenny visibly picked up her pace took her, so we arrived second by seconds.

Jenny flaked our ropes beneath the route but he stepped over them and began climbing before the kid even tied on.

Jenny coached the lad (about 11 year old) to take his time, do his knot properly and when dad shouted safe, to tie his stopper knot.

It was a good route in a bonny mountain setting, run out in places (20m on pitch 2) but I wouldn't give it 4 stars.
