Battersby Incline on fixed wheel
Rode down the Incline today on brakeless fixed with slicks. The moor tracks go well on fixed/slicks combo - better than you'd think and when you do have to shoulder the bike for a steep up then you have much less to carry.

At the bottom of Hartside the infamous big push. Go fixed and you'll cruise up past everyone with half an hour to spare. Gears are for overcoming the inefficiency of gears.
