Wind, hail. Climbed in approach shoes and Buffalo mitts.
Finished route then set off down the ridge on a bearing. This took us unexpectedly to steep outcrops covered in loose rocks. Took a while to solve the puzzle, eventually realising that we had descended a subsidiary ridge. Went back up, joined the correct ridge and finally the bearing did what it said on the tin and we got off down to the screes.
