Mosedale Cottage

Parked Sadgill then followed ridge over Shipman Knotts, Kentmere Pike and Harter Fell before schlepping across the bridleway over Brownhowe Bottom (mostly this was frozen but Jenny's brown mitt and big black club foot testified to a lack of confidence in this respect). Met Luke Warm and Henners on the walk-in.

Bothies usually sound good and look cute on photo's but usually warmer/cosier in a tent so we pitched in the animal enclosures out the back and left the two stoners to their fire that they'd earned by carrying coal in. Luke/Henners christened the Trailstar in style.

Walking out.

A final back-bearing off the cottage before it disappears from view under the convex slope, L&H becoming specks in the blanc canvas.

Interesting summit cairn on Tarn Crag.

A monochrome landscape save for Neil Armstrong's pack-cover (no cam-tricks or editing).
