Have you noticed that nobody 'checks' anything these days, they just wade straight in with a 'double-check'.
My understanding is that the 'double-check' reaffirms a prior 'check' or is a more thorough subsequent two-level investigation.
Perhaps they used all the 'checks' ticking boxes?
