Jenny has won a 3 year scholarship to study full-time for her PhD.
She had already been accepted for a part-time PhD which would have been 6 years but was invited to apply for full-time research.
Her presentation and interview was considered outstanding (in a very competitive and outstanding field of applicants, apparently, including one interviewed in Hong Kong by skype).
Her research proposal is 'Visitor experience mapping: a study of movement, encounter and engagement in the historic city; visitors as curators, engagement through social modes of map making.'
I dunno what it means either.
