MLD Trailstar bikepacking

Contracted by Prior Pursglove College for 2 days to provide monitoring/safety cover for their Gold exped.
Used this as an opportunity to test viability of staying out unsupported for 2 days by bike.
My rack & my trailer don't fit 29" wheels so had to lug my gear in rucsack, tough on the back on single speed.
Stashed camping gear in the heather during the day, got caked in mud & quite wet both days. Found a piped spring for water. Skinny down bag, small home made meths stove (MSR titan kettle), MLD Trailstar tarp with no inner.
Considering how to get this off my back and on to the bike for bikepacking. Riding a laden bike off-road is less fun but perhaps riding in, stashing gear for a wild-camp and luggage-free days out could be a win.
