Striding Edge by full moon. Inspired by the number and the age of people running past the summit shelter at around midnight, doing the Bob Graham Round.
Slab and Notch.
Camping 500m above Ennerdale under the tarp.
Carried the hazel sticks over from Buttermere, skinnier ones would have worked fine, ditched them as we struck camp. Tarp (homemade using instructions from 'Beyond Backpacking') weighs 785grams and is plenty big enough for 3 to cook and sleep.
Pillar Rock with Slab (and Notch) visible in background.
Pillar summit at 0900hrs.

Finished weekend with the twin peaks of Kirk Fell, then Moses Trod round to Hay Stacks. Wainright's ashes still attract the swarms so made a quick exit for a cool dip in Buttermere.
